ကခ်င္ျပည္နယ္ ေကအုိင္အုိအစုိးရ တပ္မဟာ (၅) လက္ေအာက္၊ ေကအုိင္ေအ တပ္ရင္း (၂၃) နယ္ေျမျဖစ္ေသာ ခယာ ႏွင့္ ဘြမ္ရဲယ္ ဘက္သုိ႔ ထုိးစစ္ဆင္လာေသာ ဗမာစစ္တပ္အင္းအား (၃၀၀) ေက်ာ္ႏွင့္ ေကအုိင္ေအ မ်ိဳးခ်စ္ရဲေဘာ္မ်ား ဇန္န၀ါရီ (၁၆) ရက္ေန႔ မနက္ (၇း၀၀) နာရီအခ်ိန္ခန္႔မွ စ၍ တစ္ေနကုန္ ျပင္းျပင္းထန္ထန္ တုိက္ပြဲျဖစ္ပြားခဲ့ေၾကာင္း သတင္းရရွိပါသည္။ ဗမာစစ္တပ္ဘက္မွ စစ္တုိက္ ေလယာဥ္မ်ားျဖင့္ ေ၀ဟင္မွ ပါ၀င္တုိက္ခုိက္ကူညီေပးခဲ့ေၾကာင္း သတင္းရရွိပါသည္။ ဗမာစစ္တပ္မွ ေ၀ဟင္မွ ေလယာဥ္မ်ားျဖင့္ တုိက္ခုိက္ကူညီျပီး၊ ေျခလ်င္တပ္မ်ားျဖင့္ အင္းအား အမ်ားအျပားအသံုးျပဳကာ ေကအုိင္ေအ တပ္စခန္းမ်ားအား ထုိးစစ္ဆင္တုိက္ခုိက္ျခင္းျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း၊ ေကအုိင္ေအ မ်ိဳးခ်စ္ရဲေဘာ္မ်ား ဘက္မွလည္း ဇာတိေသြး ဇာတိမာန္ျဖင့္ ရဲရဲရင့္ရင့္ ခုခံကာကြာမွဳေၾကာင့္ ဗမာအစုိးရတပ္ဘက္မွ ေသဆံုး ဒဏ္ရာရမွဳ မ်ားျပားျပီး၊ ညေနပုိင္းေတြ ျပန္လည္ တပ္ဆုတ္သြားေၾကာင္း သတင္းသိရွိရပါသည္။

There was a severely battle between KIA (23rd) battalion, which is under KIA (5th) Brigade area, and more than 300 Burmese Government soldiers, that they had made an offensive action, in Hka Ya and Bum Re from 07:00 AM until the whole day on 16th January, 2013.  Burmese Air Force helped to fight for their ground troops according to KIA front line officer report. KIA patriotic soldiers defended bravely both military air bombarding and huge ground attack from the Burmese Government attacking, as a result, the Burmese Government retreated back at the evening because many soldiers were injured and many were killed.
