According to report, UNICEF team has arrived finally in Laiza Town, Kachin State KIA control areas on 12 December 2011 for humanitarian efforts. UNICEF team has came yesterday 12 December 2011 so far to Laiza Town, Kachin State KIA control area with medicines, cloths and foods supplies to help Kachin Internally Displaced People (IDP) in civil war torn areas. They are three UNHCR delegates also came along with UNICEF team. These delegates have arrived in war zone areas with Burma regime government permission for humanitarian supports. The report cited that UNICEF and UNHCR team delegates are being warmly welcome by KIO officers from Internally Displaced People (IDP) Committee.
We Kachin people would like to take this opportunity to say special thank you to UNICEF and UNHCR teams on behalf of Kachin Internally Displaced People (IDP). Please kindly extend continue supports to our Kachin people who suffering from deadly civil war over 6 month since 09 June 2011 launch by Burma government deadly attacked for the sake of China Tapain Dam project in KIA control area Sang Gang Kachin Land. I hope Kachin people in affected by civil war areas will able to celebrate joyful heart and in time of Christmas season with your kindness supports.
